Beautiful Blue Skies.

Happy Easter all you little cupcakes! I hope you all had a great weekend and ate enough chocolate to sink a pirate ship!

Saturday the 30th of March

Now I have been on an adventure, one involving blue skies, green grass and a cup of tea. I almost forgot a pair of wellies:

So a bit more information on this adventure of mine, I visited River Cottage HQ for their Easter Fair, and before you ask I did see Mr Fearnley-Whittingstall.

Image

All things considered it was a fabulous day, with copious amounts of good food and tea!

ImageTea is the glue that holds us down, Cake the stuff of reason, Neither fail us, milk, or sugar they ask, as we opt for both, now for a sit down and a chat.

(The worlds most weirdly laid out poem I know)

Finally I discovered an amazing band, I can't quite describe the genre but they are called "Dodo Bones"

Sunday the 31st of March

Easter Sunday. Instead of the usual church visit we went to see family up in Oxford, where I received a small pile of chocolate and an extraordinary number of hugs.

And yes that is a chocolate owl and a 1D egg...

Objects Of Desire

Today started out as a homework in pyjamas day but transformed in to something very fabulous indeed. Okay I admit it took me about 2 hours to get changed and eat breakfast but that is what sundays are for right, leisurely mornings. So after a milky coffee and a fried egg sandwich I made my way to the "Objects Of Desire" fashion exhibition.

Image

Clockwise from the top left: A random piece to showcase changes in the way designers make clothes, looking down the first hallway, a union jack blazer which I believe was worn by Kate Moss, and a Christopher Kane piece.

Image

The first piece was created for the exhibition, and the next three where being walked down the catwalk over the past couple of years.

So after browsing the exhibition for a while I treated myself with a cappuccino.

And now for what I wore for this delightful outing:

Daisy Chains.

I don't know about anyone else but I love spring and summer and seeming as it appears to not happening this year I thought I would add a splash of my favourite seasons on to my nails in the form on daisies!

So here is how!

Image

You will need, a basecoat nail polish, a pale green polish,a white nail art pen, and yellow polish.

Image

Step 1:

Apply a even coat of basecoat to prevent the coloured polishes from staining your nails!

Image

Step 2:

Apply 2 thin even coats of pale green.

Image

Step 3:

Using a striper brush or a nail art pen create the petals for the daisies in white polish.

Image

Step 4:

Dot yellow polish in the middle of the petals and you are done. A clear top coat is optional.

Now sit back and enjoy your fabulous spring nails, with a copy of your nearest fashion magazine:

Voilà!

Time to ruffle some feathers

"No one and I mean no one can take my dream of Oxford away from me, well they just did and they are going to pay! I sometimes wonder if people realise how well connected a young 'innocent' girl like me is, it's not like I dine with the admissions officers of Yale and other Ivy League colleges, that aside I would love to study in England and you never know pick up a cute accent and maybe a cute boy to match... Anyway for now I need to persuade my lecturers to boost my grades even if that means a bit of how should I put it bribery. Ooops I didn't say that okay!"

Now along the theme of gossip and the general ruffling of feathers I picked up a peacock feather in a cute little vintage place I discovered, I must admit it is a little out of the way but I had a few hour to spare the other day between lessons so I explored further down the high street than normal!

Paris 2013 Take 1

Now this post and the last will not count towards my CAS hours, but I thought I ought to share my experiences of one of the fashion capitals! I feel I should explain this is take 1 because I am going back in the summer avec ma famille!

So out of sheer laziness and time related issues this post will mostly be pics with the occasional caption!

ImageThe Louvre! I must admit there are more impressive art galleries.

Casually running into Paris Fashion Week and taking some shot of people which unfortunately I didn't get a chance to speak to...
