#BootTribe Blogger Event.

On Thursday evening I made my way to the city of Bath to attend a blogger event hosted by DUO Boots. When I arrived I was unsure as to what to expect, except of course other bloggers! When I arrived I was greeted by two other bloggers who's names I have forgotten (typical) and we entered the store where we were offered champagne. It had been approximately a year since I had been to a blogger event so I experienced the same feeling of awkwardness to start with but after a while I relaxed and got round to discussing shoes with all of the other bloggers.

Part of the event was being able to choose a pair of boots to be gifted by the company I chose these gorgeous Mena boots that make me feel like Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl strutting my stuff through the upper east side so naturally I cannot wait for them to arrive!

By far the best part of the event was being able to meet and talk to other bloggers, some of which I have met before and some that I haven't!

Emerald Sun.

I try to avoid the "Florals... for spring? Groundbreaking" at this time of year, one because I love large print floral items of which I own none, and I prefer more free flowing patterns or colour blocking. Or in this outfits case just all grey. Nevertheless I adore the simplicity of the outfit, with just enough skin on show to remind me that the sun is shining.

I admire the work my parents put into our vegetable patch(es) they look so green and vibrant even at this early stage, and the produce that we get to enjoy is amazing. Especailly the blackcurrants we had 5 bucket full last year, we got very inventive and ate far too much of my mums blackcurrant ice cream... is there such a thing as too much ice cream?
This ring is pretty new to my collection, I discovered it last week in Topshop while I was browsing and I couldn't resist, it reminded me of the Princess and the Frog fairytale that I read endlessly as a child. The label said "midi-ring" but I find that it looks better on my little finger, plus I would be afraid to lose rings if I wore them above the knuckle.
My dog want to join in, I am just glad he didn't knock over the tripod!
The endless question as to whether dandelions are a weeds or a flowers, I love picking them when they have gone white and blowing the fluff in to the wind on long summer afternoons, after I have made daisy chain crowns for my sister and I.
If anything I like this photo just because it has made me realise how far I have come since the start of the year fitness wise, this morning I could the start of a 6 pack when I tensed. No matter how many necklaces I own this one will always be worn over everything else, the chain is held on with a bracelet charm and some knots, but it fits nicely. I wore it with this ensemble to add a touch of colour but not too much.

Sweet Lips.

Sundays as I have said before have to be one of my favourtie days, but yesterday was just wonderful because for the first time in what seems like forever the sun broke through the clouds and Britain saw warmth and spontaneous trips to the beach! As for me I relaxed, watched the rugby, which was disappointing (Welsh Supporter), then headed off to see The Book Thief.

I adored Markus Zuzak's The Book Thief, I reviewed it here, but the film did not quite live to my expectations, some of the best moments for me in the book were not included and small details were not included! However I applaud the casting for Max and damn he was looking fine for a Jew who was on the run in Nazi Germany!
I bought these sunnies out of necessity a few years ago when I realised I had left mine at home and my eyes were not ready for the bright sun of Portugal in June, oooppps. On the other hand I love the bright orange, and I cannot wait to wear them more often this summer with two holidays lined up for June!

Now on to the outfit! I have been meaning to take photos of this for a while, but due to a lack of time and sun it hasn't happened, none the less it is here and who knew a prom dress could look so casual. Underneath my recent purchase of this adorable lip patterened jumper from Primark is my year 11 prom dress! I paired it with thigh high socks and black Chelsea boots to contrast the white and cream shades in the jumper and the dress. I suppose you could say that I am stuck in quite a preppy fashion rut, but when you consider that I wear jeans and band tees almost everyday at college, I think it makes up for it. I also blame having to wear a shirt and tie for my entire school career from the age of 5 to 16! So naturally I have taken to dressing smartly using Blair Waldorf (Gossip Girl) and Spencer Hastings (Pretty Little Liars) for inspiration, not only do they dress well, they work hard and play hard too.

XO, Miriam

P.S. What do you think of the outfit?

Iced Roses.

In the midst of a November, the cold days, of staying in and drinking chai lattes while reading enough books to fill a library. But before all this today I braved the cold and stumbled on some almost iced roses in my back garden.
I am pretty sure this is growing in what looks like an old kitchen sink, it couldn't be more strange if my family tried.

In between the berry bushes and the herb garden, where green is the only colour left.
 Oh so pure and wonderful.

Time to ruffle some feathers

"No one and I mean no one can take my dream of Oxford away from me, well they just did and they are going to pay! I sometimes wonder if people realise how well connected a young 'innocent' girl like me is, it's not like I dine with the admissions officers of Yale and other Ivy League colleges, that aside I would love to study in England and you never know pick up a cute accent and maybe a cute boy to match... Anyway for now I need to persuade my lecturers to boost my grades even if that means a bit of how should I put it bribery. Ooops I didn't say that okay!"

Now along the theme of gossip and the general ruffling of feathers I picked up a peacock feather in a cute little vintage place I discovered, I must admit it is a little out of the way but I had a few hour to spare the other day between lessons so I explored further down the high street than normal!

Upper East Side

Good morning upper east siders!

Due to my new found love of the television series Gossip Girl, this week shall be inspired by Blair, Serena and the clique. So to start the week lace and necklaces!

But before you see what I wore toady here is a small paragraph, and when I say small I mean it!

Everything in it's place just the way it was supposed to be, well almost everything, something was missing or should I say someone. Why in such a place of safety and bliss was she so uncomfortable, "maybe everything is too perfect" she whispered to her self. His voice answered softly in her ear "Lets make a mess of it then".

(Not quite sure why the picture is so blurry sorry about that!)

I'm not sure who I was channelling today but I'm pretty sure I had my Gossip Girl, head on, well the fashion part anyway!
