As I mentioned in my previous post I was creating a YouTube video for the make-up I was wearing that day, so here it is. I am a little nervous to have done this so let me know what you think, and if I should do this again.

Now I know Halloween is on Thursday but I am working that evening, thus leaving me with no option but to show you my outfit early. And to be quite honest I am not celebrating Halloween until Saturday when me and my friend are going to a local screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, where I will be wearing a some what warmer outfit!
Here I am dressed as a little devil and my make-up well I am creating a YouTube video for that...

I find that cinnamon is by far the most seasonal spice, especially at Christmas (I appologise for mentioning this word so early on in the colder months) but I wanted something to eat with my chai tea lattes. So as this is the day of the Great British Bake Off I needed a baked snack for watching, and these seemed like the perfect autumn bake, and they went down well with ma famille so I hope you enjoy trying these out!
Ingredients:
- Plain flour, for dusting
- 1 quantity home-made puff pastry (find one that works for you, I use a mixture of 2 recipes)
- 75g unsalted butter, softened
- 75g golden caster sugar, plus extra for sprinkling
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 60g sultanas
- 1 medium free-range egg, beaten with 2 tbsp milk
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan180°C/gas 6. On a floured surface, roll out the pastry to a rectangle measuring about 30cm x 40cm.
- Beat together the butter, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, then spread over the pastry. Scatter with the sultanas, then roll the rectangle from the short side to make a sausage. Chill for 10 minutes until completely firm. Then, with a serrated knife, cut into 16 x 1.5cm slices. Lay flat-side down on a baking sheet and press them slightly so they spread out a little. Chill for 20 minutes.
- Brush with the egg mixture. Sprinkle with sugar and bake for 18-20 minutes until golden. Serve warm, sprinkled with sugar.
- Now eat with copious amounts of chai tea lattes or just general purpose tea.

Watch the numbers fall,
And me shrink.
Only miss me when,
I am gone.
Take advantage,
Then watch the breakdown.
Realise that,
It was you,
That caused this.
This suicide.
That leaves me,
Alive but dead inside.
Some unfinished thoughts about the past...
