The Mad Hatters Hat.

In a flurry of inspiration I went from scrawling venomous words in deep inky black, the kind that worries people, the kind you are scared of, not because of what is in it but because you have been blinded. The kind of darkness that makes you fear the future and the unknown and retreat back under the covers. To drawing the Mad Hatters Hat. Sometimes I wonder, Am I Alice before she looked through the looking glass? The answer is yes as to me the world is still enchanting and the Mad Hatter is still real enough to touch in my mind, cracked tea pots and sunken eyes. But so much more than that the sort of person you would miss in a future life.

"I am Alice before she looked through the looking glass"

So I took to my supplies of which I don't have many and tied them up in knots around a bowler hat seen here. Drew 10/6 on some folded paper, attached it to the spotty material with mismatched stud earrings and for a while I was the Mad Hatter complete with a fresh cup of tea (even if it was Green Tea, not English Breakfast Tea..).

I can see myself wearing this out at some stage, with some backcombed hair and pale eye make-up, and lest I forget the old school blazer, worn with ripped jeans and Doc Martens would be so perfect. But for now it will sit with pride upon my split end ridden messy hair. Not that, that matters at all I am only doing English revision today.

The Start of Something.

The skirt is by no means finished! I have more layers to add and a bow to make, but I am proud of what I have don so far, and I cannot wait to wear it the summer or maybe even this spring. Given it has been since last summer that I took to my sewing machine full of ideas tangled in measuring tape and thread I am glad I made the time to do so again before I go through what will probably be some of the most stressful weeks of my life so far in the lead up to my IB exams!

I am also looking for some feedback for my blog in order for me to do a good write up about for my CAS folder, which if you don't know is why I started the blog almost a year and a half ago.

In A Perfect World.

If you follow me on twitter you will know that I have an exciting trip later on this year to India, that is all you get to know for now until I have paid it all and am on my way to the airport (don't quote me on that). I have been watching JacksGap YouTube videos for a while now, and I have enjoyed their rickshaw run videos, and the title of this post comes from the song played at the end: In a perfect world by The Sam Chase.

The temptation to get on this train to London Waterloo was unreal!

So today is a Thursday *OMG 1 more day to the weekend* I managed to roll out of bed and create an awfully nice outfit, if I am allowed to say so? I pulled on some jeans as I so often do on a college morning then I pulled out this sheer shirt with amazing cuff and collar details!
